Madden Genealogy

I am delighted to report that my family truly are Maddens. How do I know?  I had my brother submit his DNA.  Our closest matches are to Kellys.  This might have created a dilemma in assessing our ancestry if I hadn't done my homework.  But in fact, the story goes that the Madden clan and the Kelly clan were formed about 700 AD by two brothers which supports the DNA match.  


It is not my intention to copy the history of the Madden Clan here.  I do hope to collect links that will point researchers in the right direction.  Let me know if you have good ones.


My intention is to post information on my family background and perhaps information on others that might be connected to my family in hopes of finding family connections.  I welcome comments and questions and FAMILY be they Madden or Kelly cousins.  Guest bloggers are welcome, leave a comment with an email and I will be in touch!

    My surname is McCaffry. I recently enrolled with FTDNA. My results are within "3" on the 67 marker test to Madden and Kelly. If anyone would know why or how, my personal email is randy57@insightbb.com.
